We are pleased to announce our first OBN contract for the 2024 North Sea season with our newest A3000 nodes with 150 day battery life. More to come on this and other opportunities in the coming months.

inApril is pleased to announce the successful completion of our second North Sea project of the season with a leading OBN operator.

Thanks to all involved and looking forward to the next.

inApril is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristian Røislien as new Vice President of Operations.
Kristian is a seismic industry executive with strong operational, engineering and manufacturing experience. Kristian has a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from NTNU, and over 15 years experience from Western Geco, Fugro, PGS, MagseisFairfield and TGS, latest as Director of Field Services.

inApril is pleased to announce the successful completion of our first North Sea project of the season with a leading OBN operator. The nodes are currently being made ready for deployment on the next North Sea project scheduled to commence mid July for another major operator.

We are also completing the production of our new nodes and that increases our node inventory from 500 nodes to 3000 nodes ready for deployment.

We are pleased to offer the nodal kit to the market for summer 2023 availability. The nodal kit will include up to 3,000 nodes with an increased battery life of 150 days and an improved depth rating to 3600m.  The 20-foot automated charging and staging container offers parallel loading and unloading of nodes, optimizing operations and ensuring redundancy.  The kit is ideal for both ROV and Node-on-a-Rope operations.

We have also started the process to add 8,000 of our next generation A3000 nodes to our rental pool for 2024 availability.

“We are excited to have this kit available next summer as there seems to be growing interest from operators and E&P companies for additional capacity ” says inApril´s CEO, Anne Camerer.

inApril is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne Camerer as new CEO. Anne succeeds Vidar Hovland, inApril´s founding CEO, who will continue to serve as Chief Technology Officer to focus on technology development and the ongoing build of our deep water nodal kit with anticipated delivery summer of 2023.

Anne is a widely experienced seismic industry executive with a strong commercial, financial and operational track record spanning a 25-year career in Europe, Africa, South America and Asia Pacific. Anne brings a unique set of skills, perspectives, and relationships to lead inApril into the future. Building on what we have already accomplished, under her leadership we hope to hone our strategic direction, grow and develop our organization, strengthen our partnerships, and solidify our role as a player in the marine seismic industry.

Profocus Systems, an inApril company, has started on the delivery of a Data Management System for a new customer developing a proprietary Ocean Bottom Node system. This is a further confirmation that Profocus´s emphasis as a specialist software engineering company for the high end marine seismic industry, continues to deliver value to their customers.

By offering node electronics, data management software and efficient handling solutions, inApril and Profocus offer a full range of technology options to companies looking to optimize nodal operations and development projects. This should strengthen our customers’ efforts and allow for further growth of the OBN market.

inApril has entered into a cooperation agreement with Geospace Technologies to supply inApril’s pioneering deployment and retrieval system (DRS) for use with Geospace’s OBX-750 seismic nodes. Geospace has more than 25 000 OBX-750 in the market and is one of the world’s leading suppliers of seismic nodes. The inApril/Geospace collaboration will supply customers with the choice of a node-on-a-rope (NOAR) seabed seismic acquisition solution expected to double the speed and efficiency of operations compared with existing systems. The solution will shortly be available.

Both companies are confident that the cost and efficiency benefits of the new NOAR combination will help significantly in accelerating the growing oil industry preference for node-based seabed seismic.

inApril continues to develop its own proprietary Venator integrated acquisition system. The first deployment of the company’s A3000.1 nodes is scheduled for May under a lease agreement with an American organization.

For further details on the solution please contact us at post@inapril.com

Based on requests from customers inApril now introduces the A3000LL (long life) node. The A3000LL has extended battery life (125, 150, 175 or 200 days). All specifications except for battery life, weight and size will be the same as for the A3000. An A3000LL with 200 days battery life will have a weight of 35/15kg (air/water). Please contact us for more details.

inApril has signed a technology cooperation agreement with 4CNode Geophysical, a Norwegian company developing a node-based system mainly for reservoir characterization and monitoring. 4CNode will use inApril`s technology in their nodes and for data management and several quality control solutions.

4CNode Geophysical, founded by Eivind Berg, legendary pioneer of the first commercial ocean bottom node survey in 2003, is designing a seabed node application using separately planted 4-component sensors.
